Biruk Haregu

Biruk Haregu is a Ph.D. student at the Schar School of Policy and Government and a Graduate Research Assistant at the Institute for a Sustainable Earth. He specializes in international development policy, focusing on Africa's political economy, agricultural and manufacturing policies, food security, and the impact of climate change. Biruk has published numerous scientific articles, as well as opinions on political, cultural, economic, and security developments in the Horn of Africa. Previously, he worked with the UN Economic Commission for Africa in Addis Ababa, supporting economic and environmental policy efforts.
